Intelligent Transport Systems give road authorities information about how a network is performing and the means to respond to it. Vehicle Detection

Detection tells a controller what is approaching an intersection and how much of it there is. We install inductive loops cut into the pavement, above-ground detection mounted to poles and mast arms, and the cabling and terminations that connect them back to the controller.

Loop installation involves saw cutting, laying and sealing the loop, running feeder cable through the pit and conduit network, and testing before the surface is reinstated.

Cameras and Monitoring Equipment

Camera installations require stable mounting, protected cable routes and a reliable power and communications supply. We install poles and mounting hardware, run the associated cabling, and terminate equipment ready for configuration.

Dynamic Message Signs and Roadside Devices

Larger roadside equipment brings structural as well as electrical requirements. Works typically include footings sized to the structure, conduit and cable pathways, supply connections and the civil reinstatement around them.

Communications and Network Connectivity

ITS equipment is only useful when it can reach the systems behind it. We install communications cabling and the pit and conduit infrastructure that carries it, including connections back to existing network infrastructure where a site is being extended.

Integration With Existing Traffic Signals

Many ITS deployments attach to intersections that are already operating. Sequencing the work around live signals, coordinating with the controller and keeping the intersection running through the installation is a large part of the job.
